What is the best part of your role?

Talking to candidates and understanding what is important to them in their next role – really getting to know them in a professional capacity to ensure we present the best, appropriate opportunity to them that will develop their career and stimulate them. The best commendation is to gain business from a candidate – many of whom become clients.

What values do you look for in a candidate?

Communication, commitment and honesty – if you gain all three then you will always be in a great position!

What would be your best career advice?

Treat people how you would expect to be treated yourself and do your very best to give 100% every day.

Can you name one person who has really inspired you and why?

Most people would answer this by quoting famous figures new and old, but I can’t mention one - three come to mind for me:

My Nanny, who was the most wonderful person – kind, caring and gained gratuitous pleasure from seeing others happy – if I could be half the person she was, I would be delighted. Secondly, Delia Smith – from a young age I loved cooking and I used to pour over her books and recreate her recipes. I love nothing more than sitting down to a feast with family and friends! Finally, my Travel Expert Natasha Young – she has opened my eyes to the wonders of the world. I crave to travel, to the extent that by the time my son was six, he had been to six of the seven continents in the world. Travelling enriches you in ways that are hard to express and there is always somewhere to explore that you haven’t visited.

What do you do when you’re not working?

Spending time with my husband, and two children, travelling, cooking, eating out and enjoying time with our friends.
