Emma D’Angelillo

Emma D’Angelillo

Emma joined Metzger in May 2021 following a period of maternity leave.

Her experience in recruitment started when Emma deferred her start at university to join a temporary industrial recruitment agency. As they say, the rest was history and Emma decided to continue her career in recruitment, moving in-house with a large FTSE 100 organisation and then into specialist Learning and Development recruitment.

She has a wealth of experience recruiting across the globe working with candidates across a range of sectors and levels of seniority.

What is the best part of your role?

The best part of my role is being able to make a difference to someone’s life through the introduction of new opportunities. It’s wonderful being able to speak to candidates from all over the UK, and at varying levels in their career and help them take that next step.

What values do you look for in a candidate?

Someone who is personable yet professional. Excellent timekeeping and organisation skills are also very important when you’re looking for a new role.

What would be your best career advice?

Be kind, always. You never know where a conversation can take you.

Can you name one person who has really inspired you and why?

Each day I’m inspired by my son. A toddler’s curiosity to explore, willingness to learn, and passion for things they love is inspiring. They wear their hearts on their sleeve so you always know where you stand and although their direct nature to say things how they are can be brutally raw at times, it can also be a lesson for openness.

What do you do when you’re not working?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time as a family alongside our Dachshund Teddy. I enjoy baking – but mostly, eating said bakes, and have an addiction to Biscoff!
