Living Paintings

Living Paintings design, create and publish tactile and audio books for blind and partially sighted children, teenagers and adults. Our extensive library of Touch to See books covers a wide range of material, from fiction, wildlife, architecture, art, fashion, music, film and sport to children’s favourites such as Spot, The Gruffalo and Thomas the Tank Engine.

Our Touch to See books contain raised tactile images accompanied by atmospheric audio guides. Some book ranges also come with Guidance Notes or an Activity Pack and a colour photograph booklet. Our wide and growing range is designed to provide education, enable life-long learning, enhance lifestyle and support leisure interests. Living Paintings provides these unique books completely free via our nationwide, postal library.

Camilla Oldland, Chief Executive, Living Paintings comments “We are delighted to be selected as Metzger’s charity of the year and very much look forward to working with all their team to raise money together and change the lives of blind and partially sighted children, teenagers and adults across the country. I see that there is a wonderful synergy between Metzger and Living Paintings in that we are both organisations who place primary focus on the people in our communities and helping them to aspire and reach their full potential. This makes me confident that we will enjoy a very happy and successful partnership in the coming months.”
