Role Title: Senior Management position
Location: North London/Hertfordshire
We are looking to identify a Senior Manager for a high growth, ambitious, privately owned Construction business, who will lead and drive the measured term contracts and major frameworks division.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently running all administrative, operational and field activities - organising people, information and resources. Providing a first class service consistently, growing existing accounts and winning new business
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and leading the day-to-day functions and performance of the division, including regularly meeting with the Directors to review the division’s performance, management and compliance.
- Working with the business development team to increase division turnover by identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Planning the skill requirements for projects, collaborating with the Directors to recruit and select quality employees.
- Managing, monitoring and motivating employees within the division.
- Ensuring Client satisfaction in terms of cost, scope and timescales.
- Proactively monitoring Health and Safety within the division to ensure processes, team culture and behaviours are in line with company expectations.
- Participating in monthly reporting processes, identifying and addressing any potential issues and ensuring that external Client reporting is accurate and appropriate.
- Managing design and build development scheme and ensuring suitable control processes on projects
- Reviewing of technical drawings to ensure compliance with employer requirements, regulations and business strategy. Ensuring suitability and buildability of designs to maximise programme delivery and profit margins while maintaining client expectations.
- Ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities
Candidate requirements:
- Previous Senior Management experience within a mid sized SME
- Proven track record in successfully managing projects
- Strong understanding and usage of Microsoft Projects / Astra Projects
- Ability to communicate professionally with Clients and stakeholders
- Self-motivated and ambitious with aspirations to progress through the business
- Strong focus on KPI delivery, risk management as well as commercial and financial competence
- Highly organized and able to manage tight timescales
- CSCS Card and Asbestos Awareness
