Senior Business Development Manager
London
Circa £50,000 to £60,000 base salary per annum plus benefits

A well-established family owned Support Services business who provide cleaning and ancillary services are now seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team.

The Senior Business Development Manager's role is a predominantly client and market facing position. Contact is expected to be frequent with key clients, industry influencers, decision makers and strategic partners who can assure delivery of the Company's sales plans and strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities:
1.Meet defined personal profit targets and assist the Sales & Marketing Director in the delivery of the overall company targets for sales growth, and profitability
2.Develop a three-year new business pipeline to an agreed target level
3.Develop written sales plans that identify key client targets, key influencers/groups, marketing actions and timings
4.Build strong and long-term client relationships within defined target new business prospects
5.Work in conjunction with the Bid Manager to ensure all tenders are delivered on time and to the highest professional standard
6.Work closely with Marketing team to deliver targeted communications
7.Liaise with incoming contract stakeholders (including customers and sub-contract suppliers) to ensure an efficient and effective handover of new business wins
8.Produce sales forecasts and report other metrics as required by the business
9.Liaise with the telemarketing team, agreeing appointments and following up on identified actions
10.Execute all responsibilities, as a member of the company's sales development team, to uphold lawful and ethical standards

Required competencies and qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years successful and demonstrable business development management experience, spent working within the Commercial Office Cleaning marketplace.
A good knowledge of the Commercial Cleaning industry in London and the Home Counties.
Clear and demonstrable evidence of being able to proactively develop a strong blue-chip corporate and public pipeline
Sound secondary school education to Advanced level or equivalent
Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills
Strong and proven results and performance orientation
Self-starter with entrepreneurial and innovative thinking
Literate, numerate, analytically articulate, and organised
IT proficient
Ability to produce well written and accurate tender documents and other sales material
Team player
