A progressive, dynamic and entrepreneurial privately-owned multinational pharmaceutical / biotechnology business is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead a small team, and also generate personal sales revenue, within the German market. Based in Hamburg with travel within Germany of up to 50%, this is a role that requires a Player/Coach with a significant level of experience within the life sciences, bioprocessing and GMP manufactured products arena.
The company has a global footprint and has a forward-thinking culture, with an emphasis on R&D to bring new products and services to the market.
There is an ambitious growth plan and the Sales Manager will play a key role in this expansion by excelling in a dual leadership and sales role. The successful Sales Manager will bring an energetic approach and will develop accounts through their own structured, well thought-out and executed personal account management and development activity; whilst also getting the very best out of the small sales team that they will lead and inspire.
The main responsibilities of the Sales Manager Pharmaceutical Biotech are:
*Lead the Sales team and report to the European Director
*Develop the existing sales / account growth strategy, in particular by identifying and focusing on the priority clients and target clients that need to be attracted and developed.
*Develop and nurture existing clients for the business as an individual and through the team. Clients include biotech companies, academics / labs and non-profit organisations.
*Winning new accounts.
*Attending and exhibiting at conferences / exhibitions.
The Sales Manager will bring the following skills, experience and personality traits to the role:
*Degree BSc / MSc level qualification as a minimum in a relevant life sciences related subject is essential for this role.
*Experience in pharmaceutical / biotechnology sales, working with therapies and technologies that might include:
oStem cell research
*A strong leader with the ability to inspire and lead from the front in a dual sales and leadership role
*A desire to achieve, to keep learning and to develop new skills
*Exceptional relationship building skills, with client, colleagues and team members
In return, you will be rewarded as a Sales Manager with a basic salary of EUR 75,000 - 80,000 + Commission + Car Allowance + Benefits.
