Salary: Circa £40,000 OTE + Car
Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing commercial cleaning, security and facilities management company, providing professional services to offices, restaurants, retail outlets, schools and other businesses around London.
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of cleaning contract management across a portfolio of client sites in London to ensure that cleaning specifications are current and followed. You will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for site supervisors maintaining a high standard of cleaning and will obtain evidence that the specification is being met. It is your responsibility to monitor and review the cleaning standards by completing regular audits and remedying any shortfalls.
The Operations Manager will, through interaction with the client's management teams, have a thorough understanding of the client's business culture and values. The role requires excellent relationship and decision making skills, and a desire to strive for excellence in customer service and delivery. You will have a sound knowledge, not only of the site specifications, but also of the budget for the site.
* Ensure all jobs are staffed and cover in the event of holiday or sickness
* Regularly meet clients for feedback
* Start-up and manage any new contracts
* Manage a team of around 75 cleaners and 60 sites
* Manage an Area Supervisor
* Reporting to the Operations Director
*Highly proactive, flexible, enthusiastic and pragmatic delivery orientated approach with 'can do' attitude
*Excellent planning, organizational and prioritisation skills
*Able to work autonomously, and comfortable with rapid change, as well as working as part of a wider team
*Excellent telephone manner
*IT literate (MAC and PC) - good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer
*Previous cleaning management experience required (3+ years)
*Proven track record in successfully operating multi-site contracts
*Understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present
*Excellent presentation skills
*Competent levels of planning and organisation
*Numeracy and literacy to a good level
*Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise
*Good interpersonal skills
*High levels of attention to detail
*A strong work ethic
*Full UK driving licence (held for minimum 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points)
