Interim Operations Director – Facility Services – Transport Sector
Location: London

Salary: Attractive salary plus benefits

Our Client is an ambitious, international facilities services company, who provide a complete range of cleaning and support services for transport Clients.

They are looking for an experienced, progressive and collaborative Interim Operations Director who will develop and lead best practices and operational excellence within their portfolio. This exciting opportunity is core to shaping this high growth business and requires strong leadership and entrepreneurial ability, where client interaction is significant and excellent relationship management and customer service are key. 

To be considered for this role, it is a pre-requisite that you have the following skills:

  • Experience in the Cleaning market specifically within the Transport sector – buses, trains or aviation
  • Proven experience in a senior operational management role, managing multiple sites and people
  • Collaboration with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Setting strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Devising strategies to ensure growth of programmes company-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximise output and minimise costs
  • Management of significant budgets with the ability to demonstrate and implement initiatives to measure and improve financial targets

Candidate requirements:

  • 5+ years senior leadership role in an appropriate field
  • FM market knowledge, specifically in Cleaning at a senior level
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, operations and people management
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • Ability to remove barriers and drive innovation throughout the organisation and demonstrate creative and effective ways to motivate teams
  • Ability to use a creative approach to influence at all levels, leading the team to meet demanding targets and deadlines within a modern, fast-paced environment and creating a “can do” culture
