Our client is a well-known and respected brand in the B2B arena that is seeing unprecedented opportunities for growth. It has a strong and experienced executive leadership team that has a distinct objective and purpose - moving the organisation from being a traditional silo orientated 'Sales' operation to one that is growing market share through the digitalisation process, adapting its 'go to' market strategy through building strong, high profile technology-based capabilities that positively affect its profile, customer engagement and supply chain.
Opportunities exist to take the business into the B2C and Retail markets that should significantly increase revenue, profits, shareholder return and relevance for the future. In essence the shareholders and leadership team are looking to transform the business, taking it from a strong performer in its current market to one that out-performs competitors and other B2B, B2C and Retail combined businesses.
To do this, the Board are aligned and require the Leadership influence of a seasoned Marketing professional. Coming from a B2B background you will have the experience of transforming an organisation's thinking. Influencing a business, creating and implementing a high performing Marketing function that has adapted to changing customer interactions and market opportunities will be second nature and you will have the proven track record of creating B2B, B2C and Retail marketing strategies. Working closely with the 'sales' function, you will ideally have experienced business development first-hand and be able to act as a Marketing & Sales leader on occasion as 'Marketing' should be the enabler, making all methods of sales and revenue generation easier.
You will have high levels of creativity and be adept at leading a compelling and modern group wide marketing and digital function.
In return, this appointment allows you the opportunity to take full responsibility for Marketing strategy, transformation and performance. The Board will encourage creativity and support a new way of influencing the brand, customers, employees and suppliers and generally modernising the way the organisation does business. The appointee will be part of the Executive succession plan and will have a high level of exposure and influence across the business.
