Three-month contract to possible permanent role
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits

Our client is a global player in the education market and is looking for a Financial Controller to work closely with the UK senior management team and help make informed financial decisions to grow and improve this company's value, whilst providing leadership.
The Financial Controller is a very varied and interesting role and will report to a UK Director with a dotted line to the CEO/CFO based in Australia. The Financial Controller will be pivotal in managing the Management Reporting and Financial Accounting responsibility for the business and a key objective will be to bring the outsourced Finance function back in-house.
To succeed in this interesting and varied role you will be a Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA/ACCA), currently working as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller or Head of Finance with a track record of Financial Accounting within a SME environment. The ability to manage a small accounting team is essential as is tangible experience of producing year end and monthly accounts.
Key accountabilities for the Financial Controller will include:
*Preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, annual budgets
*Provision of a monthly report to the CEO and CFO based in Australia
*Attending the monthly management meeting
*Monitoring Margin reports
*Monitoring business costs and re-negotiation of supply contracts
*Financial Accounting - processing supplier invoices, preparing payments via BACS
*Liaising with the payroll bureau
