Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company.
In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end finance operations and drive continuous improvement of accounting practices. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience within Property Services, Maintenance, or the FM sector.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing the day-to-day financial operations, monitoring the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and minimise risk
• Preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries.
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the board
• Managing an end-to-end process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors/accountants
• Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts
• Presenting financial reports
• Overseeing transactions, payroll and invoicing
• Managing the accounts team including all day-to-day HR including training, task management, quality control, and procedure monitoring
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within an SME Facilities Management, Property Services or Maintenance business
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Previous experience with Xero accounting software, able to process and record financial transactions accurately
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
• Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategy development
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Previous experience of adding value by bringing an objective view and constantly looking for ways to make improvements
• Demonstrable track record of taking a business through change and process transformation, leveraging new technology in a practical way to drive consistency and efficiency
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
