Field Service Planning and Delivery Manager
Salary: up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance and benefits
Location: North West with regular UK wide travel
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Planning and Delivery Manager who can oversee the coordination, execution, and quality in delivery of field operations across a portfolio of facilities services. This role is essential to ensuring efficient service delivery, resource optimisation, and a high level of client satisfaction while managing a team to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of field engineers, subcontractors, and planners to ensure the timely and effective delivery of reactive and scheduled maintenance services
- Developing and implementing schedules, workflows, and resource allocation strategies to maximise operational efficiency
- Monitoring key performance indicators and client satisfaction scores, and taking corrective actions as needed
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies
- Overseeing daily and weekly planning to optimise the deployment of field engineers across multiple locations and service lines
- Coordinating with clients to ensure service needs are met and disruptions are minimised
- Managing real-time adjustments to schedules to address urgent or unforeseen issues
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients during escalations and critical service delivery periods
- Building strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and enhance service levels
- Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on operational performance and client feedback
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring field staff and planners to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce
- Conducting regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives, and identifying development opportunities for team members
- Identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies to reduce costs and improve service delivery
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience in field service management, planning, or operations, preferably within the FM or a related sector
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving results under pressure
- Proficiency in using scheduling and workflow management software
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements within FM operations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders
- Industry-specific qualifications or certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, Prince2, or FM-related accreditations) are advantageous
