Environmental, Carbon and Sustainability Manager
Location: North West London with national travel
Salary: Circa £50,000 - £70,000 plus car and benefits

Working for one of the UK's leading multi-channel wholesalers in this newly created role, we're looking for an Environmental, Carbon and Sustainability Manager.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sustainability, energy and carbon reduction strategies and hold responsibility for supporting net zero decarbonisation plans.

Responsibilities include:
*Delivering on proposals that provide a clear pathway to invest in low carbon technology projects, enabling the business to go harder and faster in their carbon reduction ambitions
*Driving change and leading the zero carbon ambitions
*Engaging with business units which are embarking on, or developing their approach to going net zero
*Identifying and implementing low and zero carbon solutions within various business units including retail stores, warehouses, fleet and logistics ensuring zero carbon targets are realised
*Increasing Planet Mark data quality
*Supporting the business through TCFD process
*Leading the business through science-based targets and nature-based targets initiatives
*Supporting the Head of Sustainability and Social Value in internal and external working groups
*Specifying and implementing new technological requirements and systems for energy collection and analyses
*Implementing innovative methods to measure and reduce energy consumption
*Supporting the ITT team with environmental sustainability knowledge
*Leading the business through packaging legislation reform
*Reducing waste to landfill at offices and stores
*Establishing a baseline for water consumption and creating associated reduction plans
*Providing and supporting a lifecycle assessment of products
*Developing methods to engage with staff, stakeholders, and customers on the route to a zero-carbon future

Experience required:
*A minimum of 5 years' experience delivering low carbon/nature-based solutions
*Ideally degree educated or equivalent in Environmental Science, Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
*Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, IEMA, CIWM, IOA) is advantageous
*Commercial acumen and programme management skills
*Experience in environmental, energy and carbon compliance
*Enthusiastic with a strong background in low carbon solutions, technology, measurement, and reporting
*An understanding of the wider concepts of sustainability
*A breadth of knowledge across energy management, BMS, renewable energy generation technology, M&E in buildings
*Demonstrable knowledge of UK energy generation and distribution changes
*Working knowledge of energy/environmental management systems (ISO50001 / ISO14001) ESOS, SECR
*Knowledge of current UK policy and legislative requirements relating to energy and carbon
*Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver presentations and training
*Experience working in the construction and/or wholesale industry is preferred but not essential
*Willingness and ability to travel to sites and offices around the UK
