Job Description

Digital Director
Circa £140k basic, bonus and major corporate benefits
North West England HQ but flexible location

Our client is a well-known and respected brand in the B2B arena that is seeing unprecedented opportunities for growth. It has a strong and experienced executive leadership team that has a distinct objective and purpose - moving the organisation from being a traditional silo orientated 'Sales' operation to one that is growing market share through the digitalisation process, adapting its 'go to' market strategy through building strong, high profile technology-based capabilities that positively affect its profile, customer engagement and supply chain.

Opportunities exist to take the business into the B2C and Retail markets that should significantly increase revenue, profits, shareholder return and relevance for the future. In essence the shareholders and leadership team are looking to transform the business, taking it from a strong performer in its current market to one that out-performs competitors and other B2B, B2C and Retail combined businesses.

To do this, the Board are aligned and require the Leadership influence of a seasoned Digital Director. Coming from a B2C (or having a mix of B2B & B2C) background you will have the experience of transforming an organisation's thinking and digital performance. Influencing a business, creating and implementing a high performing digital function that has adapted to changing customer interactions and market opportunities will be second nature and you will have a proven track record of creating B2B, B2C and Retail digital strategies. Working closely with the CIO and Group Marketing Leadership, you will have led digital transformation and be able to act as an enabler, ensuring the digital development and scalability of the future B2C revenue streams. You will have high levels of technical competence and be adept at leading a compelling and modern group wide digital function.

In return, this appointment allows you the opportunity to take responsibility for Digital implementation, transformation and performance. The Board will encourage creativity and support a new way of influencing the brand, customers, employees and suppliers to future proof the way the organisation does business. The appointee will be part of the succession plan and will have a high level of exposure and influence across the business.

We are looking for applicants who may well feel ready to step up and challenge themselves as well as those seasoned at Group level and we actively encourage people from different industry backgrounds that have the prerequisite experiences.

To apply, please send your CV in Word format, quoting reference 96/172/JF. Please give details of your current remuneration package and your availability and if your application is of interest, we will be in touch. We regret we cannot take telephone enquiries relating to this vacancy, due to the high level of responses expected.
