Job Description

Role Title: Commercial Director
Salary: Up to £100,000 plus bonus, car allowance and other excellent benefits
Location: UK with flexibility to travel

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Director to join the Senior Leadership Team of this progressive, specialist logistics business.

Reporting to the Managing Director in this new role, you will be responsible for delivering profitable business growth and developing the commercial offer.

Using your strong customer relationship management skills, you will work with your team to develop an extensive network and increase market share.

Responsibilities include:

*Providing inspirational leadership and direction to the Account Management, Business Development, Commercial and Bid Teams
*Overseeing major commercial relationships and contract negotiations with leading organisations
*Working with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership team to define the sales and marketing strategy
*Developing and implementing new process improvements and "best practice"
*Defining and implementing "work winning" marketing strategies, marketing channels and tools
*Forecasting and delivering revenue through effective tender and contract management activities, new business acquisition and client retention

Candidate requirements:

*Previous experience and success leading a team at Commercial Director level
*Industry knowledge of the healthcare/supply chain sector
*Extensive experience in logistics/warehousing/transport, within an international environment
*Experience of driving and implementing sales and marketing strategies, with a track record of taking a business through substantial growth
*A practical understanding of key marketing tools and techniques to drive business growth
*Highly motivated, with a positive and professional attitude, strong work ethic and critical attention to detail
*Excellent leadership, people management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead, coach and mentor at all levels
*Effective planning, organisational and project management skills
*Proven ability in negotiation, especially at strategic level
*Robust financial, analytical, commercial and conceptual thinking skills
*An effective communicator with well developed presentation, written and oral skills
