Location: London or Brighton
Our client is expanding their Business Development team and are recruiting a Bid Writer to provide a professional, effective and compelling bid-writing service to support the business' success in converting and winning tenders in line with the Company's vision and values. The ideal candidate will have professional writing skills with a proven experience of responding to tenders and framework bids, ideally in the specialist cleaning / Facilities Management industry.
*Attend meetings as required with the Business Development team to agree strategy, content and actions
*Development and completion of RFI, RFP, SSQ, PQQ and tender presentations to a high standard
*Work with the team to create and produce professional, high quality tenders, proposals and reports within defined deadlines
*Management of tender exercise and bid submission, soft and hard submissions as appropriate
*Maintain and have working knowledge of tender submissions
*Create letters and reports as required
*Input to post tender presentations and face to face negotiations
*Dissect questions and produce answer plans to maximise relevant information extracted from team members
*Review, edit and write material for case studies/data sheets
*Support the development and maintenance of a bid library
*Provision of administrative support to the team in the generation of sales and project management; including collation of information, creation of documents, creation of presentations
*Creation of sales and project presentations to a high standard;
*Help maintain library of up-to-date company information, policies and procedures;
*Maintain sales information held within the Projects Database, CRM and document library.
*Some very occasional travel (typically to the London region and around the South East) may be required.
*Ability to work calmly and systematically under pressure and be able to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
*Demonstrable track record of producing successful bids within specialist cleaning and FM sector.
*Minimum two years' experience.
*Degree educated, or professional writing background.
*Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Foundation or Practitioner Level certified an advantage
*Excellent spoken and written English essential.
*Advanced & Demonstrable use of MS Packages including Outlook, Word, Power-point and Excel.
*Excellent organisational skills
*Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, and other publishing packages, with the ability to produce / edit presentations, tenders, proposals documents to a high standard
*An excellent communicator with the ability confidently liaise at all levels of the business and is not afraid to ask for information when it is required
*Highly organised with the ability work effectively with the team and independently to defined deadlines
*Strong attention to detail and a high level of focus on the achievement of the team's targets
*Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workload.
*Self-motivated individual who is highly organised
*Ability to work under pressure, with a calm approach and a good sense of humour
*Team player, able to liaise at all levels with a positive approach to problem solving.
*Ability to be able to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
