Bid Director (Interim)
Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract

Our client is looking to recruit a Bid Director to join its progressive, dynamic business in the facilities management sector. This is an interim role where you will be expected to lead the bid team to maintain a pipeline of new opportunities as well as write bid responses and implement the bid process.

With experience in the Cleaning and FM sector, you will have a strong track record of delivering bid success and be looking for an exciting role where you can lead on all bid activity for a growing business.

The main duties of this role will include:

*Project manage the bid process from 'cradle to grave'
*Direct the Bid Team, creating a winning strategy that results in organic growth
*Use OJEU to identify and qualify bidding opportunities
*Secure new business for the Company through maintaining the bid pipeline and creating winning bids
*Lead the team through the entire bid lifecycle to deliver results that ultimately win contracts
*Ensure client deliverables are achieved within deadlines, specifications and governance
*Report to the Board on opportunity strategies
*Write, edit and proofread bid responses
*Continuously develop the team through shared knowledge
*Work with stakeholders internally and externally to build valuable and effective relationships
*Source and develop new business opportunities for our client, and use your experience to contribute to the growth of the wider Business Development Team

The successful candidate will also have the following required skills/experience:

*Minimum 5 years' public sector bid experience in a relevant market sector
*Be able to lead the Bid Team to ensure excellent outcomes
*Can maintain communication through professional relationships with all colleagues, stakeholders and potential customers
*Previous experience reporting to senior teams on any significant business risk or issues
*Proven track record delivering bid success
*Hold APMP Foundation Certificate or higher, with knowledge of APMP/Shipley practices and methodology
*Articulate, confident writer who can work from scratch to meet client objectives
*Hold strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships across all levels of the business
*Excellent presentation skills with an eye for detail
*Proven ability running the bid process from beginning to end
*Strategic thinker with the ability to offer new, innovative solutions
*Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst prioritising competing workloads
